Here in the U.S. We’re holding our breath until we can get our hands on the Nexus One, but over in China things are heating up with new Android handsets. Samsung is set to release their new BCH-I899 which is powered by a 800MHz processor and a 3.2 inch HVGA AMOLED display. We’re a bit unsure why, but the I899′s display is resistive when most Android phones on the market are shipping with capacitive displays. The handset will also feature a 3.2MP camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, 512MB of internal storage and a 1440mAh battery. Samsung wants to make sure that you get the best media experience out of the I899 by cramming in DivX/Xvid support and a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB.

Though the Samsung I899 has a pretty powerful 800MHz processor is appears it’ll have a bit of a disadvantage over the Nexus One since all the images seem to indicate that it will be shipping with Android 1.5 as opposed to the newer 2.1.
