The Future of Touch Screen Technology

Samsung is looking to the future of its touch screens with Quantum Physics technology.  In a recent move Samsung licensed UK company Peratech’s Quantum Tunneling Composite technology.  This technology enables touch screens to become more responsive and recognize the pressure that is applied to them.  According to Dr. Ho-Chul-Joung this could be used to enable 3D-like user interfaces on cell phones, including low power phones.  There are currently no examples of how this technology will be used, but it will be exciting to see how this technology will be used in the future.
