If you’ve been holding out on getting a new Windows Mobile phone, the new Samsung Omnia II might be what you’re looking for.  The new Samsung Omnia II will run on Windows Mobile® 6.5, but UI has been tweaked with Samsungs own TouchWiz.  The handset will feature a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED, a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology, Opera Mobile 9.5, and a 3D cue user interface (most likely similar to the cube on the T-Mobile Samsung Behold II).  The Omnia II will also feature a 5MP camera with flash and autofocus and will feature 8 GB of internal memory and expandable memory of up to 16 GB with microSD.  Verizon will start selling the handset on December 2nd for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.  Since December 2nd is tomorrow, I’ll be heading down to my local Verizon store first thing in the morning to get some hands-on time with the new Omnia II.

Stay tuned.
